At the ongoing Tokyo Motor Show, KTM has unveiled a bundle of surprise, an electric scooter which has got its name dubbed as “KTM E-Speed”.

Staying in the spotlight, KTM gained much hype at the Tokyo Motor Show unveiling the concept format of the E-Speed electric scooter, that will arrive accompanied by a 4.336 kWh lithium-ion battery. The battery providing backup of around 40 miles to the scooter, requires only two hours for charging and uses any household input for the same.

The Austrian manufacturer has not deliver much about the specifications of the electric vehicle but collectively we may anticipate the E-Speed scooter to flaunt 14-inch alloy wheels and possesses 220mm ABS regenerative brakes. The liquid-cooled engine is capable of developing a peak power of 11Kw along with a maximum torque measure of 36 Nm.

KTM E-Speed electric scooter follows the KTM tradition by carrying a lot of Orange in its looks. The battery and power unit make it get its weight measured as 140 kg. Actually, the E-Speed has got probably one of the most appealing looks as compared to most of the vehicles available in the electric two-wheeler segment.

A couple of months back, KTM CEO had officially delivered a statement that the market is in a very early stage for the electric vehicles. But, the introduction of the electric scooter, E-Speed at the Tokyo Motor Show contradicts his statement and thus, brings a surprising element along side.
