It seems that Honda has stopped selling the CB Unicorn Dazzler in the Indian market. While the bike model still appears on Honda India’s website, company officials have confirmed that the Dazzler will no longer be available in the company’s dealerships.
In fact, as it turns out, the CB Trigger has taken the place of the CB Unicorn Dazzler with a similar price-tag. Although Honda has not stated why exactly it had to remove the Dazzler from its product line-up, it is likely that poor sales were the only factor responsible for this action. Honda had unveiled the CB Unicorn Dazzler at the 2010 Auto Expo and launched it for sale in May the same year. The Dazzler was powered by a 149cc air-cooled engine capable of churning out 14bhp of power @ 6500rpm. It comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox. According to the Japanese auto major, the CB Unicorn Dazzler managed to deliver excellent fuel efficiency of about 60kmpl and came with an affordable price-tag of Rs. 66,470 (Ex-showroom, Delhi).
On the other hand, the 150 cc Honda CB Trigger sport a modern look, with some design cues borrowed from the full-size CB1000R. Honda is planning to sell the CB Trigger in addition to its other 150 cc bike offering- the Honda Unicorn. The 150 cc bike market is very competitive and mainly caters to young customers.
